Donna Coombs' Marathon with Team-in-Training

Here is a picture of Corie Ewers(another TNT teammember from Lake Tahoe) and me with the hounds!

Being a 40-year old mother of a 3-year old has occupied most of my time recently. When I decided it was time to get serious and reach for a lifetime goal I have had of running a marathon, I found Team-In-Training provided me the perfect opportunity. It allows me to train with other people, keeping it more interesting, and to raise money for a worthy cause.

My goal is to run the California International Marathon in Sacramento on December 2nd. I am running in honor of Danny Heinsohn, a 24-year old lymphoma patient from Reno.

My commitment to this program not only includes training for a marathon, but raising a minimum of $1700 to benefit the research on cures and treatments for leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, and Hodgkin's disease. Without funds for research, a cure will not be found.

Thanks for taking the time to visit this site, and for everyone who has supported me - THANK YOU!
